Technology

Cat® Grade & Smart Technology

Cat Grade with 2D

Standard on all Next Gen excavators. Provides real-time bucket depth and slope guidance on the in-cab display, eliminates manual grade checking and re-work.

Cat Grade with Advanced 2D

Adds automatic bucket floor control and fine-grading capability. Reduces operator fatigue and improves grade accuracy to ±25 mm without GPS infrastructure.

Cat Grade with 3D

Full GPS/GNSS machine control for automated bucket positioning to design surfaces. Works with any major site design software; no stakes, no string lines.

Smart Mode

Automatically matches engine speed and hydraulic flow to load conditions, delivering up to 45% fuel savings on the 320 vs. previous-generation excavators.

VisionLink® Telematics

Remote equipment monitoring via Cat's VisionLink platform, tracks location, fuel burn, operating hours, fault codes, and maintenance intervals in real time.

Cat Marine Master Control

Integrated electronic engine management for Cat marine installations, handles load sharing, shore power transfer, black-start sequencing, and alarm monitoring.
